The Psychiatric Service Dog Society (PSDS) is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our website. In this privacy policy we explain how and why we collect certain information, what we do with it, and what controls you have over our use of it. From time to time, we add or change functions, features or products to Psychdog.org. This, and our commitment to protecting the privacy of your personal information, may result in periodic changes to this privacy policy. Questions regarding our privacy policy should be directed to joan.esnayra@mac.com Your acceptance of these Privacy Statement terms By using the Psychdog.org website, you unconditionally agree to be bound by its Privacy Policy. What data do we collect and how do we use it? PSDS collects and processes information in order to: 1) Process donations and requests for assistance; 2) Collect statistical data about visitors to our website. You may be asked, during transactions, applications or at other times, for information about yourself, such as your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. In case you choose to donate to PSDS via the PayPal buttons on our website, you may be asked by PayPal for credit card or payment information. Obviously, you are under no obligation to provide such information, but if you don't, then we may not be able to provide you with certain goods or services. Please note that PSDS will have no access to your credit card information. Log files/IP addresses When you visit psychdog.org, we automatically log your IP address (the unique address that identifies your computer on the Internet) which is collected by our third party supplier. We use IP addresses to help us administer our web site and to collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information. Non-personal information We may automatically collect non-personal information, such as the type of Internet browsers used by our website visitors or the sites from which our visitors linked to our web site. Individuals cannot be identified using this information, and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service on our web site. We may from time to time supply the owners or operators of third party sites or affiliates with information relating to the number of users linking our web sites to theirs. Individuals cannot be personally identified using this information. With whom is the information shared? PSDS will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to third party suppliers who provide services on our behalf. PSDS may disclose aggregate statistics about our web site visitors to describe our services to prospective partners, affiliates, and third party suppliers and for other lawful purposes, but these statistics will not include personally identifying information. PSDS may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of PSDS volunteers, associates, visitors to our web site and recipients of our goods and services. Psychdog.org contains links to the sites of third parties and affiliates. When you visit these sites, we suggest that you read their privacy policies. PSDS is not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of others’ websites. Information about our services It is very important to us that we provide you with the highest level of service. In order to help us do this, we provide a Listserv (http://www.psychdog.org/listserv.html), which from time to time may send you details of products and services that we think may be of interest to you. If at any time you do not wish to receive these details, you may opt out of the Listserv by emailing joan.esnayra@mac.com PSDS may offer opportunities for users of the web site to have information about them and their image to be posted on Psychdog.org. In such cases, we only do so when explicitly requested by the user. If at any time you wish to have information about you, or images of you, removed from our web site, please contact joan.esnayra@mac.com Security PSDS places a great importance on the security of all information associated with our customers. We have security measures in place in attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of customer data under our control. With regard to transaction of personal data, we use a highly reputable 3rd party supplier that uses secure server software (SSL) to encrypt financial information you input before it is sent to us. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this. Where is the information stored? Information, which you submit via our web site, is stored either on a web server we host through our web service provider or to reputable third party suppliers. We may transfer information submitted by you to such suppliers in order for certain transactions to be processed, such as ordering products from our web site, and for the ability to collect statistical information that is beyond our own web hosting capabilities.
